Global Human Rights Defence (GHRD) is an international human rights organisation which focuses specifically on those areas and populations of the world where severe and extensive human rights violations have continued unabated over long periods of time and where structural help and global attention of Governments, international institutions and the media have failed to reach.
Working in the South-Asia region (Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal and Pakistan), GHRD operates through three main pillars: human rights reporting, humanitarian aid and human rights education (in the region, the Netherlands and throughout Europe).
