South Korean rapper Psy has the fastest growing YouTube channel thanks to his music video, "Gangnam Style", which on Saturday became the most watched video with more than 815 million views.
To date, the Official PSY channel has collected nearly 1.2 billion views from the 44 videos posted to YouTube. According to information from Yahoo Music, all different versions and parodies of the “Gangnam Style” video have more than 2.2 billion views across the Internet!
Gangnam Style was posted to YouTube in July of this year and has since, as our graph suggests, increased by an average of 14 million views a day. On Saturday, 24 November, the Gangnam Style video surpassed Justin Bieber’s “Baby” as the most viewed music video of all time on YouTube.

Part of Gangnam Style’s video success is admittedly attributed to the song’s catchy rhythm and Psy’s outlandish dance performance, which can be seen when the rapper rides an invisible horse. “It is named after the affluent Gangnam District of South Korean capital, Seoul, and it mocks the rampant consumerism of that suburb,” says the Yahoo blog.
Socialbakers.com brings daily updates of the fastest movers on YouTube. On the list of the Top 5, Justin Bieber’s channel lies at the bottom with less than 5 million new daily video views, which is only a third of what the OfficialPsy channel has.
