Avast Software, a.s. signed on as Socialbakers’ 1 000th customer just as they themselves welcomed their two millionth fan on Facebook. Our two companies celebrated these milestones in the same week with a pledge to serve customers better through the creation of an Avast social media listening post. Avast Software is a leader in the security software industry, protecting over 165M active devices around the globe by offering free antivirus software and they have recently teamed up with Facebook to prevent malware-infected links being shared unknowingly by Facebook users.

The avast! forums have 270,000 members, the avast! antivirus Facebook has over 2 million likes, the @avast_antivirus Twitter feed has 70,000 followers, and Google+ has 14,000 fans. Avast senior management recognize that listening, responding to and taking care of customers is an advantage, and that the feedback they receive is invaluable to the improvement of their products.

Last month, in the same week that Avast reached the milestone of 2 million likes on Facebook, Mr. Steckler approved the creation of a social media listening post using Socialbakers’ powerful suite of analytical, listening and publishing tools.
