While French beauty company L’Oréal’s brands are well-known to shoppers worldwide, in some places applicants may not know much about the company as an employer. The social media team at L’Oréal Global Careers shows potential applicants what it’s like to work there - with help from Socialbakers.

To do this, L’Oréal’s social teams showcase current employees and give followers tips on better job applications. “We want to be seen as an authority on being good at what you do,” says Alexander Onish, Digital Employer Branding Manager for L’Oréal Global Careers.
Social media platforms are still considered non-traditional places to find new talent, Edleston says. “About 40 percent of Facebook users today are not only using it for social reasons; they are following at least one future employer.” By using Socialbakers Builder and Analytics, Onish and his team can target those users and stay on top of the conversation - all over the world.
Since starting with Socialbakers, L’Oréal’s human resources departments around the world have increased their reach among applicants.
In Germany, L’Oréal registered a 62% increase in engagement on Facebook page posts. In Mexico, the average monthly interactions leapt by more than 300%.

Also it’s not always easy or obvious for an HR team to be social marketers, so we try to help make it as easy as possible when there are little to no resources”
