You don’t need to fret about how to best explain complex metrics to upper management or clients - Socialbakers Analytics has built-in reporting functions so that you can satisfy everyone, save time and money, and never have to stress!
Communication and cooperation are key to helping a business succeed. For in-house social media marketers, that means having to explain how your work is producing (and how that leads to good news for your business) to your upper management. For agencies, that means answering all of your clients’ questions to make sure they know how you’re helping their campaigns succeed.
But no matter where you work, you have many more important things to do than to constantly check your Dashboard and compare it’s current state to your pages’ earlier performances. By checking your pages’ metrics manually, you not only lose valuable time, but actually risk either losing track of each week’s results.
Instead, you could have regular weekly reports e-mailed to you (just a note: they’ll be sent to the e-mail address associated with the Facebook account that is registered with Analytics), documenting how yours and your competitors’ pages performed that past week in all the relevant metrics, for all major platforms.
This is the one of the best parts of Analytics, in our opinion! It’s so easy to navigate and digest, so that you never miss major shifts in any metric by one of your monitored pages.
And it has recently gotten much, much better.
Now, the weekly updates include all of our platforms, with a link directly into Analytics so that you can go straight to the page in question if you want to check something out in more detail. On top of those updates, you’ll be able to see the top performing Facebook posts from your monitored pages for that week…and with our new cosmetic changes, the e-mail looks as slick as it works!
But these aren’t the only kind of reports you need.
The Executive Report is a customizable comparison of any two pages and one benchmark from your dashboard that can be created as a PDF or can be sent via e-mail. It is the ideal way to report to upper management. In one minute, turn your questions about competing pages into answers, with an sleek, visualized report that has the right balance of depth and simple comparisons between your brand and a selected competitor, and to the industry at large, and is divided according to metrics. Here’s an example of what one looks like:
Meanwhile, the Custom Report also allows you to create a PDF or e-mail report comparing any two brands, or any brand and benchmark…but lets you pick the metrics you think belong in the report. These are ideal for keeping reports as efficient as possible. By tailoring your report to your needs, you can turn that social data into actionable insights. This also makes it extremely easy to make different reports for different positions in your company – for instance, if you were to design a report for the brand manager, you would include metrics that emphasize brand awareness, while a report made for your client services head would probably consider customer care metrics, such as response rate, instead.
Our newest form of reporting is the Powerpoint Report:
The Powerpoint Report focuses only on one monitored page’s metrics, and so is the most thorough observation of that page. It can also be sent to e-mail, and has a minimum of options – so, you will get everything you need to know about one page – and nothing more. These are perfect for the on-the-fly report, where you need to get something together with no warning time. One click, and you are on your way to a happy business meeting for all. Best of all, these reports are fully customizable, so you can add comments and data as necessary.
We’re working on even more features to add to our reporting functions in Analytics 3.0.
With Socialbakers Analytics V3.0, reporting will become easier, more intuitive, and more comprehensive than it is today. Marketers will be able to create custom reports based on head-to-head performance across all pages, across all platforms, across all KPI’s, and have them sent automatically to team members as often as they desire.
