We’re excited to welcome back Lenovo’s Rod Strother to Engage NYC where he will share how Lenovo and Socialbakers are continuing to collaborate on defining how we benchmark brand performance on social.
On October 23rd, Socialbakers and Lenovo will debut an innovative way to benchmark the overall performance of brands across social platforms, languages, and timezones.
Lenovo developed the Global Social Centre for Excellence to build on best practices in social and to get more sophisticated in the way they use metrics internally – and to set a new standard for the wider market.
Lenovo’s Digital and Social Centre of Excellence was set up to, among other things, establish social media best practices – including in analytics and benchmarking. Faced with the vast array of metrics and measurements that define social media performance, Lenovo wanted to develop something that represented a “north star” for the organization and, potentially, for the broader market.
To do all of this, the company turned to Socialbakers. Rod, who heads up social media for the organization, will unveil their latest collaboration with Socialbakers to set a new global standard in social measurement and ROI.
“The importance of social media has already been recognized within the organization,” Rod explains. “In fact, we have also been tasked with taking a leadership role in social within the industry, and in order to be able to establish ourselves as that leader we need to take action. Positive, measurable action. We recognize that social analytics and data are going to be key to achieving our objective.”
At Socialbakers, we often talk about the need for businesses to become “socially native” – meaning that social is part of the conversation across all levels of an organization. At Engage NYC, Rod will share the reasons for creating the benchmark and the implications for everyone from the CMO to the social media editor.
Join Socialbakers and Lenovo for a session that will truly be Smarter Social Marketing in action.
