You can’t miss them - the moustaches of Movember are all over your timelines for a month every year. Here’s how social has driven the movement over the last year.
To date, 5 million moustaches have been grown worldwide under the campaign, and Mo Bros and Mo Sistas have raised $600 million to fund more than 800 programs in 21 countries. Last year, the global Movember community raised over $77 million for their causes of prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and mental health.
Check out the year that was for Movember in 2014 – the growth is pretty astounding:
Men sign up to grow moustaches during Movember (November) across the globe to spark powerful conversations, gain community support, and raise money for men’s health programs. Mo Bros are walking, talking billboards using their lip ribbons to spread awareness during their Movember journey. Social media has played a leading role in mobilizing support for this awesomely fun and engaging campaign and cause.
That’s why we invited Movember to Engage Prague 2015 in May. They really embody the best of social, and how digital word-of-mouth can translate into amazing results.
We wanted to show you their tricks, and how they put data at the heart of their annual campaign – and are seeing incredible results for a great cause. At Engage 2015, we brought two days of hands-on workshops with brands like Nestle, Desigual, and L’Oreal, YouTube – and a one-day conference with presentations and panels featuring Movember, KLM, LEGO, Disney, and many more.
